Bullin Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced Mobile Crusher Tower Operator to join our operations team. This is a senior position requiring extensive hands-on mobile crushing experience, heavy equipment operating skills, mechanical ability, leadership, cost control, and strong computer and reporting skills.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 8 years of direct Mobile Crusher Tower Operator experience.
- Heavy equipment operating experience is mandatory.
- Experience operating loaders, excavators, dozers, and other equipment associated with crushing operations.
- Proven experience operating and overseeing a complete mobile crushing spread.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on equipment maintenance experience.
- Proven ability to train and mentor employees.
Position Responsibilities
- Safely operate and oversee the mobile crusher tower and complete crushing spread.
- Monitor crusher settings, feed rates, production, material quality, and overall plant performance.
- Perform crusher start-up, shutdown, daily inspections, and operational checks.
- Operate loaders, excavators, dozers, and other heavy equipment as required.
- Maintain all crushing equipment and heavy equipment associated with the operation.
- Perform and oversee daily, weekly, and scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Ensure equipment is properly greased, serviced, inspected, and maintained according to manufacturer and company requirements.
- Monitor fluid levels, wear components, belts, bearings, screens, conveyors, crusher components, and other critical equipment.
- Identify mechanical problems early and complete or coordinate repairs before they result in unnecessary downtime.
- Maintain accurate equipment service and maintenance records.
- Track scheduled maintenance hours and ensure servicing is completed on time.
- Coordinate parts, repairs, and maintenance requirements with management and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and reliable operating condition.
- Monitor production rates, equipment utilization, downtime, and overall crushing efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and develop employees working within the crushing operation.
- Train employees on proper equipment operation, inspections, maintenance, and safe work procedures.
- Track and control operating costs, including labour, fuel, parts, maintenance, repairs, and other crushing-related expenses.
- Monitor and understand cost per tonne and identify opportunities to improve operating efficiency.
- Maintain accurate computerized production, maintenance, and cost records.
- Prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports covering production, costs, equipment performance, maintenance, repairs, downtime, and safety.
- Maintain and enforce all company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and participate in toolbox meetings, hazard assessments, equipment inspections, and other required safety activities.
- Maintain strong communication with management, supervisors, maintenance personnel, equipment operators, and other site employees.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of Mobile Crusher Tower Operator experience – mandatory.
- Proven heavy equipment operating experience.
- Strong understanding of mobile crushing systems and aggregate production.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs in the field.
- Ability to recognize mechanical problems before equipment failure occurs.
- Understanding of equipment maintenance schedules and service requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and employee training abilities.
- Experience managing and tracking operating costs.
- Understanding of production efficiency and cost-per-tonne performance.
- Strong computer skills are mandatory.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, email, computerized reporting, and production/cost tracking systems.
- Ability to prepare accurate and professional weekly and monthly reports.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to enforce company policies and maintain established standards.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel as required.
Work Requirements
This is an out-of-town position. Applicants must be willing and able to work away from home for extended periods based on project and production requirements.
The Mobile Crusher Tower Operator will be accountable for:

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced professional who can take ownership of the complete mobile crushing operation.
The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of direct Mobile Crusher Tower Operator experience, proven heavy equipment operating experience, and the mechanical ability to maintain the crushing spread and supporting heavy equipment.
This individual must understand that preventative maintenance is a critical part of the position. Equipment must be properly inspected, serviced, repaired, and maintained to maximize production and minimize unnecessary breakdowns and downtime.
The successful candidate must also understand the relationship between production, equipment condition, downtime, fuel consumption, labour, maintenance, repairs, and cost per tonne and be able to provide management with accurate information on the performance of the operation.
Minimum 8 years of Mobile Crusher Tower Operator experience is required. Applicants without this level of experience will not be considered.
