Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care and gain valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process prescriptions and insurance claims with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards of practice.
- Organize and maintain prescription files and patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Assistant
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Work well in a team environment and take direction from other staff members
