About the Role
We are looking for an Intermediate Full-Stack Software Developer to help develop, maintain, and improve the internal software systems that support our day-to-day operations.
This is a hands-on role focused on operational software, system integration, and inventory management. You will work closely with the people actually using these systems to understand their needs and build practical solutions that improve how we work.
You will be expected to work independently, take ownership of projects, and be comfortable figuring things out when there isn't already a clear solution.
ERP experience is not required. What matters more is your ability to learn new systems, understand how software interacts with real-world processes, and turn operational problems into practical software solutions.
What You'll Do:
Software Development & Integration
- Build and maintain APIs and system integrations to improve functionality and user experience.
- Integrate internal applications with existing software platforms
- Identify opportunities to automate manual or inefficient processes.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and improve existing software.
Inventory & Operational Systems
- Maintain, improve, and develop our internal inventory control software.
- Build and maintain databases that support inventory and operational systems.
- Improve the flow of information between inventory software, ERP systems, and other internal tools.
- Work directly with employees to understand how inventory and production processes actually work and develop software around those needs.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Maintain and improve our existing software infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot software and infrastructure issues as they arise.
Security & Reliability
- Apply basic secure software development practices.
- Understand and implement appropriate authentication, access control, encryption, and data protection.
- Help ensure internal applications and databases are reliable and appropriately secured.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Take ownership of software projects from concept through implementation.
- Work with operational teams to identify problems and develop solutions.
- Occasionally support projects outside of core software development, working alongside other team members as needed.
- Be willing to learn new technologies and take on unfamiliar problems.
The Way You Work
You won't be developing from an office and throwing software over the wall to production.
You'll spend time on the shop floor, talk to the people using the system, watch the process, and build software around how the work actually happens.
We are looking for someone who is a doer. Someone who sees a problem, figures out how to solve it, builds the solution, tests it with the people who will use it, and improves it based on feedback.
You should be comfortable working independently, asking questions when necessary, and taking ownership of your work.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of software development experience through professional work, internships, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with full-stack software development.
- Strong working knowledge of Frontend development - JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience working in backend development and SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn new software platforms, APIs, and technologies.
- Basic understanding of software security principles.
- Comfortable working in a fully in-person environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing internal business or operational software.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience working with both Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems.
- Experience developing software used by non-technical users.
