Currently we’re seeking a Supportive Roommate/Proprietor for an adult female. We are looking for someone who will role model and provide 24 hour support in a sober, safe and positive environment. We are looking at spaces available on the outskirts of Red Deer (Blackfalds, Penhold etc). Addiction knowledge and experience would be an asset. A willingness to support this individual with home living skills including grocery shopping, healthy meal planning, cooking accompanying to recreation activities as well as addiction support meetings.
· Having a Predictable, Safe, and Positive Environment is essential
· Providing Emotional Regulation & Reassurance is key
You will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the individual(s) and that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services, and C.A.R.F. Accreditation Standards.
Entry Requirements
- High School Diploma, or Mature Status
- Suitable home (pass inspection)
- Class 5 driver’s license, reliable vehicle, valid insurance
- Experience in Human Services field
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Required Training (Some of the training is available through Etana)
- First Aid and CPR, Level C
- Abuse Protocol/ Protection of Persons in Care Act
- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments)
- Medication Administration
- Food Safe
- Roles, Rights, Responsibilities

Etana continues to grow with respect to the number of individuals supported and personnel and are adaptive with our services to meet the needs of each individual.
