I'm looking for someone to help me out with my homecare. I'm a queer and non-binary person with a traumatic brain injury who is currently bed bound. I will be as flexible in terms of hours as possible and the job is casual. The work is relatively low stress.
The average shift is 3 hours long and is located in the downtown area.
Current wage is $22.00 an hour + 4% vacation pay.
The "interview" is a casual virtual or in person meeting.
Some of the work home support may include are listed below.
- Communicating/check-ins
- Cleaning
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Helping ambulate
- Assistance with some chores
- Personal care
- Helping maintain a clean and safe environment (for both of us)
- Helping with personal finances
- Helping me as I try to returning to social activities and being more expressive in my sexuality and gender identity (like occasionally helping with makeup or picking out nice outfits).
Preference will be given to folks in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community (or those with experience with a close friend or working with folks in the community).

Expected hours: 3.0 – 20.0 per week
