The impact you’ll make
As a part of the Creative Services Team, the Intermediate Graphic Designer, Marketplace reports to the Design Lead, Online Grocery. As the Intermediate Designer, Marketplace at Loblaw Digital, you will be responsible for developing digital design deliverables that elevate, differentiate, and function on-brand and on-strategy across our Marketplace businesses. You are someone with strong creative and technical skills, who can handle multiple projects at once – seeing projects from ideation through to production.
What you'll do
Participate in design sessions and contribute through creative concepts and creative input. Lead visual design from concept to completion.
Create designs that are consistent with brand guidelines. Be accountable for brand consistency across campaigns and assets.
Work closely and collaboratively with the production and copy team to support design needs and ad-hoc requests.
Contribute to campaign conceptualization and photography shoots.
Present design solutions to key stakeholders.
Be detailed in your organization of projects. This includes management of project briefs, awareness of project specs, deadlines, files, etc.
Balance and manage own workload according to the established business priorities and timelines.
Ensure that our digital products can be experienced by everyone, reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve, through an applied understanding of AODA design requirements.
What you'll need
A strong portfolio – only those with a portfolio will be considered.
Experience designing digital marketing collateral and art directing photoshoots.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Knowledge of digital design process and best practices, including image optimization, responsive design, basic HTML and CSS, and content management systems.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Open-minded and able to give and take constructive feedback. Participate in design sessions and contribute through creative input.
Ability to solve problems and manage stakeholder needs, as well as complex business operational needs and constraints.
Use data and customer insights to guide and advocate for your work.
Proficiency in French or experience in bilingual design is an asset.
Experience mentoring junior level designers is an asset.
Experience working in an agile workstream is an asset.
