Nelephant Montessori School is a vibrant, family-oriented school with over 50-years experience of providing high-quality, authentic Montessori education in St. Catharines, Ontario. We are a CCMA/Montessori Canada accredited Montessori School for children aged 18 months to 6 years. We provide both Toddler and Casa level programs. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated RECE or Educator to join our Casa Program team. This is a MAT leave position with the potential to extend at the end of the 18 months. Our ideal candidate is a team-player who is energetic, organized, and dedicated to offering a high-quality Montessori education for the children in their care.
The hours of work would be from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday with some afterhours events throughout the year.
Responsibilities include:
- Kitchen prep/clean-up
- Snack prep
- Sleep room supervision
- Aftercare program
- Occasional full day supply work in our classrooms
Qualifications
- Must be a RECE or have experience in the field
- Valid Police and Vulnerable Sectors check (within the last 6 months)
- Food Handling Certificate through Public Health, or willing to attain
- First Aid and CPR, or willing to attain
- Knowledge of Montessori philosophy an asset
