Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced HR Manager with 7+ years of HR leadership experience, particularly in mid-sized organizations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. This individual will lead and support various HR functions, ensuring that policies, programs, and initiatives are effectively executed.
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management, as well as driving initiatives that enhance the company culture, efficiency, and overall employee experience. A key part of this role will involve working with drivers and staff from diverse backgrounds and ensuring seamless communication across all levels.

Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Oversee the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all new hires, including thorough introduction to company policies and job-specific training.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive workplace by addressing employee relations issues promptly and effectively.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, team dynamics, and performance management.
- Implement initiatives that support employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Policy Development & Compliance:
- Design, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures in alignment with labor laws and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with all employment-related legislation (health & safety, anti-discrimination, etc.) and maintain updated knowledge of legal changes.
Training & Development:
- Lead the development and delivery of employee training programs that enhance skills and support career progression.
- Work with Managers to identify training needs and implement growth opportunities for staff at all levels.
- Facilitate leadership and management development programs to build internal talent.
Performance Management:
- Oversee performance appraisal processes, including setting performance standards, conducting evaluations, and guiding managers through feedback conversations.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) for employees when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
- Work with the Finance team to maintain an equitable compensation structure that aligns with industry standards.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
HR Data & Reporting:
- Maintain and analyze HR data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular HR metrics reports for management to support decision-making.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping for employee information, HR compliance documents, and data systems.
Employee Engagement & Culture Building:
- Implement employee recognition programs, social events, and team-building activities to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop strategies to improve employee engagement and organizational culture, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
Health & Safety:
- Partner with the Operations team to ensure workplace health and safety regulations are followed.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and assessments, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Lead health and wellness initiatives that promote employee well-being.
Strategic HR Support:
- Support the Vice President in aligning HR strategies with the company's long-term vision and operational goals.
- Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters, providing insights on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and automate HR processes, creating efficiencies across the department and company-wide.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in an HR management role, ideally within a mid-sized organization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance.
- Strong command of employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven experience with HRIS and advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, including drivers and operations staff.
- Experience driving employee engagement through recognition programs, team-building initiatives, and culture-building activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR matters with discretion.
