Position Summary
The Consultant supports Primera Consulting Inc. in delivering high-quality, practical, and compliant workplace solutions for clients. This includes safety support, operational assessments, documentation development, onsite assistance, and program implementation. The Consultant represents the Company professionally, maintaining strong communication and client service standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support and Service
- Provide onsite and remote consulting services aligned with client needs.
- Assist in implementing safety programs, operational procedures, and internal governance documents.
- Conduct workplace assessments, inspections, and evaluations.
- Support clients in hazard identification, control measures, and compliance requirements.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare reports, assessments, checklists, and written summaries for clients.
- Assist in the development of safety manuals, job hazard analyses, policies, and training documents.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to Company standards.
Communication and Coordination
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal team members.
- Support the Owner and Managers with project updates, schedules, and deliverables.
- Attend meetings, either virtual or onsite, as required.
Training and Support
- Assist with training preparation, materials, and instruction when requested.
- Support clients with understanding policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
- Participate in internal training and development as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Diploma or degree in safety, business, project management, operations, or related field (asset).
- Experience providing consulting, safety, or administrative support (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and general employment requirements (training provided).
Skills
- Strong communication and writing abilities.
- Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, and follow instructions carefully.
- Comfortable working independently and supporting multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams) and digital tools.
- Ability to build positive client relationships.
Working Conditions
Work Environment
- Work may be performed remotely, onsite, or at client locations depending on project needs.
- Some environments may include exposure to outdoor conditions, construction sites, or active work areas.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Light to moderate lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required.
- Ability to conduct onsite walkthroughs and inspections.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional travel to client sites within the region.
- Travel may be required on short notice depending on client needs.
Vehicle Requirements
- Access to a reliable vehicle is required for client visits.
- Valid driver’s license.
Remote Work Expectations
- Must maintain a professional home workspace.
- Must ensure confidentiality of all client and Company files.
- Must remain reachable during scheduled work hours.
Pay: From $52,500.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Sherwood Park, AB
