As a Journeyman Technician at our Hyundai Dealership, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair Hyundai vehicles to manufacturer standards, as well as service and repair a wide range of other domestic and import vehicle brands.
You will work as part of a skilled service team to deliver high-quality service, ensure customer satisfaction, and uphold safety and quality procedures. This role requires a minimum of 3–5 years of automotive technician experience with strong diagnostic ability and hands-on mechanical expertise. Experience with Hybrid and Electric vehicles being a significant asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Hyundai vehicles, including engine, transmission, suspension, brake, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Use electronic diagnostic tools and OEM technical information to identify vehicle issues and determine appropriate repairs.
- Execute work orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring all work meets dealership and Hyundai factory standards.
- Conduct road tests to verify proper workmanship and ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors and Parts Department to communicate repair needs, time estimates, and parts requirements.
- Complete and document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings in the dealership’s system. Knowledge of PBS software an asset.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to shop safety protocols at all times.
- Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins, training, and new product repair procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Red Seal Automotive Technician certification, ASE certification, or equivalent trade certification preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair.
- Comfortable using specialized diagnostic and repair tools safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm with rotating Saturday schedule amongst technicians.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
