About the Role
As a Breakfast Cook, you will be responsible for preparing breakfast items for our resort guests, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and timeliness. This role requires a high level of multitasking, the ability to work independently, and strong breakfast cooking experience. You should be a morning person who thrives in an early-shift environment and contributes to a positive, team-oriented kitchen atmosphere while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and lunch items to order, including eggs, waffles, breakfast meats, and lunch offerings
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control across all service items
- Work independently to manage multiple tasks during busy breakfast and lunch service
- Maintain sanitation practices and comply with OH&S standards
- Keep kitchen areas stocked, clean, and organized
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring supplies and food rotation
- Prepare the kitchen for crossover to dinner service, ensuring all stations are organized and stocked
- Perform other duties as required by senior kitchen leadership
- Contribute to a safe, positive, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Previous breakfast and lunch cooking experience preferred
- Red Seal Certification preferred
- FOODSAFE Level 1
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen
- Ability to multitask effectively and work independently under pressure
- Energetic, creative, and committed to excellence
- Morning person who thrives in early shifts
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of culinary pride
- Professional, reliable, and guest-focused
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and be active for up to 10 hours per shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Staff Housing
Limited staff accommodation may be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is not guaranteed. Shared accommodations include access to kitchen facilities, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Priority may be given to full-time staff or those without local housing options.

- Criminal Record Check: Required prior to start date.
- Reference Check: Two professional references will be contacted.
- Signed Staff Manual Agreement: required as part of onboarding, confirming understanding of workplace expectations and policies
