Event & Marketing Coordinator (EMC)
The EMC will assist with the coordination and execution of up to 25 events per year, as well as various marketing tactics. The EMC must be able to provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, have the ability to problem-solve, be willing to work occasional evenings and many weekends, and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Special Event Organizer: 75%
Tournaments & Social Events
- Manage the execution of the full Special Event calendar (up to 18 tournaments annually)
- Manage registrations and work with the Marketing Managers to sell out every event
- Prepare logistics leading up to each event (player correspondence, bookings, paperwork, etc.)
- Pack and transport supplies
- Run the event (set-up facility, answer questions, complete standings, take-down, etc.)
- Complete tournament wrap-up items after the event (website updates, surveys, reviews, etc.
Corporate Events
- Assist in the execution of team building events for Corporate clients
- Develop creative event plans that align with the team building goals of Corporate clients
- Run Corporate events (set-up equipment, facilitate activities, take-down, etc.)
- Develop company prospecting lists
Season-End & Post-Tournament Parties
- Party preparation in the office (manage/prep champ shirt orders, player correspondence, etc.)
- Set-up/take down of bar
- Socialize with party-goers
- Assist with distributing championship shirts and prizing
Marketing Assistant: 25%
Marketing Tactics
- Administrative support for digital advertising
- Administrative support for Corporate and Partnership Programs
- Develop and send promotional emails (primarily for tournaments and events)
- Create print material for leagues and tournaments
Tradeshows
- Assist with bookings
- Assist with organizing and training staff
- Set-up and take-down, as needed
- Working at events, as needed
Events Team
- Assist in Events Team management
- Manage promotional supplies
- Process ballots and update database with new leads
EXPERIENCE
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous event experience is an asset
- High level of computer competence with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Past CSSC experience and/or sports background is an asset
- HTML knowledge is an asset

HOURS
- A typical work week will consist of 5 days/week, 40-44 hours total.
- Hours will be a combination of weekday work (in the office), Tournament weekend work (onsite), and occasional weeknight work.
- Tournaments are typically on Saturdays, starting at ~8:00am and concluding at ~6:00pm.
