Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform accurate cash handling procedures
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
- Upsell relevant products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked
- Address customer questions promptly via in-person or phone interactions using excellent communication skills
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve all customers efficiently
- Keep the store, washroom and pumps clean
Skills
- Multilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or technical sales is preferred
- Strong communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette for remote inquiries
- Basic math skills for quick calculations and cash handling accuracy
- Knowledge of POS systems and merchandising techniques
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and effectively promote sales through upselling strategies
- Bilingual proficiency in English and other languages enhances customer engagement
