Overview
We are seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic dealership team. Duties
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles using hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Support in the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repairs or upgrades
- Learn to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for vehicle systems
- Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Assist with welding and other specialized repair techniques as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow dealership policies on heavy lifting and proper tool usage to ensure safety standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and addressing customer questions when appropriate
Qualifications
- Prior dealership experience or mechanical knowledge is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic automotive repair techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) and work on your feet for extended periods
- Basic understanding of automotive systems, schematics, and assembly processes is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework related to automotive repair is advantageous
