Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- We are looking for an experienced Tile Setter to join our renovation and maintenance team. This role focuses on apartment unit repairs and renovations, including bathroom, kitchen, and flooring upgrades in occupied and vacant units.
Responsibilities
- Full installation from remove to replacement of full floors, bathrooms, kitchens to complete replacement.
- Install ceramic, porcelain, and other tile surfaces (floors, walls, showers, backsplashes)
- Remove and replace damaged tiles
- Prepare surfaces (leveling, waterproofing, membranes, grout, sealants)
- Work efficiently in apartment units with minimal disruption
- Coordinate with maintenance and renovation staff
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Follow building safety standards and timelines
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tile Setter (residential/apartment experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of tile installation methods and materials
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Own tools and own transportation is required
- Ability to lift materials and perform physical work
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- ✔ Proven experience as a Tile Setter – residential & renovation focus
✔ Hands-on knowledge of tile types, adhesives, mortars, grouts, waterproofing membranes
✔ Ability to read plans and layout tile patterns accurately
✔ Skill with surface preparation and leveling compounds
✔ Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
✔ Comfortable working in occupied apartments with respectful communication
✔ Reliable transportation to job sites in Penticton / area
✔ Own tools and equipment
✔ Ability to lift and carry materials safely
✔ Good communication and team collaboration
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
