Your duties at Vicone will consist in operating, coordinating and managing activities related to the company's rubber extrusion lines. You will be responsible for the planning and running of production operations in line with the company's quality guidelines and standards. You are a team player with exceptional leadership skills and don't hesitate to be hands-on to make sure operations run optimally. You are self-directed and resourceful and believe there is a solution to every problem. With the support of management, you will also be responsible for the extrusion line's productivity, continuous improvement of processes, health and safety and training of personnel.


  • Planning and management of all production operations,
  • Resource planning and scheduling, validation of schedules for production and maintenance activities
  • Manage and resolve common production issues on the lines
  • Follow and measure production results and take corrective actions if necessary
  • Support the line start-up, extrusion die testing and sampling
  • Support, and train personnel (operators)
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment (CNESST rules and company standards)
  • Ensure quality of finished products based on the company's quality standards and criteria
  • Extrusion production and packing as required
  • Equipment inspection, maintenance and upgrading
  • Collect from team, suggest, implement and follow up of continuous improvement initiatives to operations


  • Essential – 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Essential - Expertise and knowledge in rubber processing, specifically in extrusion processes: hot air, salt bath vulcanizing, silicone extrusion/profiles, etc.
  • Essential – Physically fit
  • Essential – Comfortable using technology (computers, office suite etc.)
  • Important– Relevant technical training or extensive industry experience
  • Important– Bilingualism, spoken and written
  • Important- Experience with an ERP system or other integrated resource management system
  • Important – Familiar with ISO 9001 standard and continuous improvement methods
  • Important - DEP or DEC relating to extrusion machine operations or rubber technology
