Raise is currently hiring an SAP MM Purchasing Resource on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The SAP MM Purchasing Resource to support key SAP initiatives and operational enhancement projects. Specializing in Materials Management (MM) with Ariba Network Integration, you will lead requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, and integration activities. You will work closely with business end-users and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality SAP solutions aligned with our clients project methodologies, enterprise standards, and strategic organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Implementation: Lead and execute SAP MM purchasing solution delivery through all lifecycle phases—from initial project preparation and requirements gathering to cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.

Requirements Gathering & Facilitation: Conduct regular, structured requirements-gathering sessions and workshops with key business stakeholders and end-users to translate complex business needs into functional solution designs.

Functional Design & Configuration: Perform detailed fit-gap analysis, system configuration, and functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW).

System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SAP MM, S/4HANA, Ariba Network, and complementary SAP cloud applications or legacy enterprise systems.

Technical Modernization: Leverage and advocate for emerging SAP technology capabilities (such as S/4HANA, BTP, and AI-enabled tools) to streamline procurement and materials management workflows.

Project Deliverable Management: Execute project activities safely, with high quality, within established budgets, and on timeline schedules while adhering to governance, documentation standards, and guidelines.

Stakeholder Enablement: Provide ongoing functional leadership, advice, and structured knowledge transfer to internal team members and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
-
(7) years and four (4) full lifecycles of hands-on consulting experience in the SAP Purchasing Module (MM).

Recent track record operating as a hands-on Purchasing Functional Consultant.

S/4HANA Experience: Recent hands-on experience working with SAP S/4HANA.

SAP Cloud & Emerging Technologies: Demonstrated experience and/or functional knowledge of modern SAP cloud solutions and tools, including:

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

SAP Build Work Zone (BWZ) & SAP Build Process Automation
-
Embedded Apps, Joule, and AI-enabled business applications
-
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to lead client workshops and end-user requirements sessions.

NICE TO HAVE (Assets)

Functional knowledge of SAP Ariba.

Functional understanding and cross-module integration knowledge of MDG (Master Data Governance), EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and QM (Quality Management).

Understanding of SAP analytics and reporting tools within MM, specifically SAP BW reporting and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Knowledge or experience within the SAP Utilities (IS-U) industry context.

Solution Architecture & Integration: Ability to balance standard SAP out-of-the-box functionality with custom enhancements to meet business requirements effectively.

Process Design & Business Acumen: Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and materials management supply chain processes.

Client Engagement: Excellent presentation, consensus-building, and user-management skills in a professional corporate environment.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field; OR equivalent combination of SAP certifications and relevant field experience.

Official SAP Certification in Materials Management (MM) or S/4HANA Procurement is considered a strong asset.
Additional Information
- Local resources will typically work 1 day in the office and other days remotely (subject to change at clients discretion).

Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.

Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
