Donor Engagement Coordinator- (Full Time)
YMCA Calgary (Combination of in-branch and remote work)
Salary: $44,138.00/yr - $55,172.00/yr

Reporting to the Annual Campaign Manager, the Donor Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing a donor relations and stewardship plan. The components of YMCA Calgary’s fundraising strategy include an Annual Campaign, Major Gifts for Program and Capital, Sponsorship, Endowment Fund and Planned Giving. A key function of this position is to coordinate and support activities and meetings for all fundraising components.

- Two-three years experience in donor relations, event planning or customer service;
- Post-secondary education an asset;
- Ability to work and think independently, manage tight deadlines and multiple tasks with a high attention to detail;
Strong experience and keen interest in event management; Experience planning events for groups of 100+ attendees, with strong attention to detail and organization.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate committees, manage information, and track multiple priorities accurately.
- Well-developed writing, presentation and verbal communications skills;
- Strong experience and proven ability with donor stewardship, sharing impact and reporting;
- Proven ability to develop cooperative and positive working relationships with staff and donors;
- Exceptional customer service skills: professional, personable, and comfortable interacting with event attendees, donors, volunteers, and staff at all levels of the organization;
- Energetic, enthusiastic and confident around people;
- An understanding and respect for the confidential nature of fund development;
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office and CRM (specifically Raiser’s Edge) experience would be considered an asset;
- Three professional references;
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead and support the planning and execution of donor stewardship and fundraising events that strengthen relationships with donors, prospective donors, and key partners, including the Annual Donor Breakfast, Heritage Club Dinner, Golf Tournament, and other fundraising and recognition events.
- Lead the development and implementation of an annual donor stewardship plan that supports YMCA Calgary's philanthropic goals and strengthens donor relationships, working closely with Fund Development team members to coordinate meaningful stewardship activities, including donor visits, thank you calls, impact reporting, donor communications, recognition initiatives, and the collection of donor and participant stories.
- Support the delivery of the monthly donor program by coordinating donor communications, recognition initiatives, impact reporting, and stewardship activities that strengthen ongoing relationships with monthly donors.
- Support branch fundraising events and initiatives and YMCA Calgary's fundraising campaigns by providing training, resources, and ongoing support to branch staff, helping to strengthen fundraising knowledge, engagement, and participation across the organization.
- Develop and maintain processes that ensure recognition, stewardship, and sponsorship obligations outlined in agreements are fulfilled.
- Coordinate the administration of bursary programs and support bursary committee processes.
- Work collaboratively with the Volunteer team to coordinate, train, and support volunteers participating in Fund Development activities and events, including corporate volunteer engagement opportunities.
- Support data management in Raiser’s Edge to ensure accurate records and high quality information to support donor and prospect management.
- Manage and utilize donor communication tools, including Gratavid for personalized donor video messages, and support the use of email marketing platforms for stewardship, donor recognition, impact reporting, and fundraising communications.
- Support a range of Fund Development activities and projects, contributing across the team as priorities and organizational needs evolve.
