Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic for a full-time opportunity with one of our valued clients in the Dartmouth area.

What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Prepare trucks and equipment for MVI inspections.
- Complete welding and fabrication work as required.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures.
Equipment Experience Preferred
Experience working on the following equipment is considered a strong asset:
- Loaders
- Concrete pumps
- Concrete mixers
- Diesel trucks
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4-5 years of heavy-duty mechanic experience.
- Red Seal certification is an asset but not required.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with construction or heavy equipment is preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays (approximately every third Saturday)
Compensation & Benefits
- $37.00 - $42.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time, permanent position
Work Environment
This role involves working both indoors and outdoors around heavy equipment and vehicles. The environment can be dusty, noisy, and warm at times. Steel-toe boots are required; all other PPE will be provided.
