Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Life Enrichment Supervisor to lead engaging activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents in our assisted living community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care, excellent communication skills, and experience working with individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia or disabilities. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising recreational activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being of our residents. The Life Enrichment Supervisor plays a vital role in creating a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued and supported.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a variety of engaging activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and care needs.
- Lead daily recreational programs that foster social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and promote residents’ emotional and physical health.
- Supervise activity staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality program delivery.
- Monitor resident participation and adjust activities to maximize engagement and enjoyment.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, participation levels, and resident feedback.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects residents’ diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Stay informed about best practices in senior care, dementia care, and therapeutic activities to continuously improve program offerings.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living or retirement is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of senior care principles, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to plan creative, meaningful activities that cater to a wide range of interests and needs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
- Ability to supervise staff and volunteers while maintaining a positive team environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple programs simultaneously while ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
Pay: $18.20 per hour
