Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Metallurgical Technician to join our team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our research and development (R&D) projects, conducting experiments, and ensuring smooth laboratory operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about metallurgy and environmental sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct laboratory and pilot-scale tests to recover metals from tails and ores.
- Perform chemical analyses such as pH and ORP measurements, titrations, and sample digestion.
- Accurately record and interpret experimental data, ensuring detailed lab notes and documentation.
- Design experimental test plans and manage lab-scale testing of hydrometallurgical processes.
- Operate advanced laboratory instruments such as atomic absorption spectrometers for chemical analysis.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to translate lab results into full-scale production processes.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in hydrometallurgical processes and metallurgical R&D.
- Experience operating laboratory instruments (e.g., atomic absorption spectroscopy) and conducting chemical sample analyses.
· Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as crusher, pulverizer, and atomic absorption instruments.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the gold extraction or related metallurgical industries.
- Familiarity with leaching technologies and recovery methods.
