Summary
Canadian Maritime Engineering Ltd. (CME) is seeking a skilled Journeyman Mechanic to join our Victoria team. We’re looking for someone with strong diagnostic abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work both independently and within a crew. Marine experience is an asset, but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Complete work orders and documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications
- Journeyman Mechanic
- Red Seal preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid driver’s licence
- Marine mechanical experience considered an asset
