Job Summary
Yale Daycare is seeking a passionate, caring, and dedicated Infant Toddler Educator (IT) / Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to provide high-quality care and education in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will support children’s learning and development through responsive caregiving, meaningful interactions, and play-based learning while maintaining compliance with licensing regulations and Yale Daycare policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences that support children’s physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language development.
- Build trusting, respectful, and responsive relationships with children and their families.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s growth and developmental milestones.
- Support children’s individual needs while promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Maintain accurate daily records, including attendance, meals, naps, toileting, and observations.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and licensing requirements.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and daily care routines while maintaining children’s dignity and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive team environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding their child’s daily activities, progress, and well-being.
- Report any concerns regarding children’s health, safety, or development according to daycare policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Infant Toddler Educator (IT) and/or Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Immunization declaration record.
- Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions
Full-time or Part-time position.
Monday to Friday.
Indoor and outdoor supervision of children.
May require lifting children and childcare equipment in accordance with workplace safety guidelines.

Pay: $19.00-$28.00 per hour
