Electrical Branch Manager – Metro Edmonton Region
Position Summary
The Electrical Branch Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day electrical service and project activities for the Metro Edmonton region.
This position does not require a Journeyperson Electrician ticket, but the successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of electrical terminology, materials, equipment, and typical commercial and industrial electrical work.
The role is primarily focused on service dispatch, project coordination, customer communication, scheduling, and supporting field electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and coordinate customer service requests and electrical work orders.
- Schedule and dispatch electricians and apprentices to service calls and projects.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, site access, and project requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding scheduling and job status.
- Assist electricians with obtaining information, materials, purchase orders, drawings, and other project requirements.
- Track open service calls and projects to ensure work is progressing and completed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and arrange material deliveries when required.
- Assist with preparing basic quotes, work orders, change information, and project documentation.
- Maintain service records, job files, customer information, and project documentation.
- Coordinate inspections, permits, and site requirements with qualified electrical personnel where required.
- Help resolve scheduling, material, customer, and site-related issues.
- Support communication between customers, office staff, project management, and field electricians.
- Ensure safety and company procedures are followed when coordinating work.
Qualifications
- Experience in electrical contracting, construction, maintenance, service coordination, or a similar environment.
- Good understanding of electrical terminology, materials, tools, and common electrical work.
- Previous service dispatch or project coordination experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Comfortable communicating with electricians, suppliers, contractors, and customers.
- Able to manage multiple service calls and projects at the same time.
- Good computer and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
Journeyperson Electrician certification is not required. Technical electrical decisions and work requiring certification will remain the responsibility of qualified electrical personnel.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is organized, practical, and comfortable working in an electrical contracting environment. They understand enough about electrical work to communicate effectively with electricians and customers, while their main strength is keeping people, service calls, projects, materials, and schedules organized and moving forward.
*Position will by in Fort Saskatchewan (future) with some travel around Alberta as needed.
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
