Forklift Operator – Temporary to Permanent
About Our Client
Our client is a medium-sized paper, sign & display warehouse! This is not a straight forklift position – the perfect candidate is experienced with a forklift but is also willing to assist in the other departments as a warehouse labourer.
What You Will Be Doing, as a Forklift Operator:
· Operate a raymond reach forklift
· Moving skids of paper around the warehouse and into the shipping bays
· Assist in the picking and packing department (OFF OF THE FORKLIFT for 40% of your day)
· Assisting in the shipping and receiving department
· Complete additional tasks as assigned
What You Should Have, as a Forklift Operator:
· Valid raymond reach forklift license
· Minimum of 2 year experience operating the counterbalance
· Flexibility to work 60% forklift operation & 40% general warehouse duties – this is NOT a straight lift truck position
· Ability to communicate perfectly in English
· Ability to stand for the entire shift
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs (not consistently and only if required to help in other parts of the warehouse)
In Return, You Will Receive:
· $21.00 per hour
· 4% vacation pay accrued and paid out when requested
· Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
The Shift You Will be Working is:
· Monday to Friday
· There are TWO positions available:
- 8:00am to 4:00pm OR 4:00pm to midnight
