【Experience Requirements】 Proven experience in generator set operation and maintenance, or a background in automotive/heavy machinery repair; at least 3-5 years of relevant experience; familiarity with the full-process operation and maintenance of diesel/gas generator sets; proficient in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
【Mandatory Requirements】 Hold a valid work permit, study permit, or Canadian Permanent Resident (PR) status; possess relevant industry certifications such as a mechanical repair certificate. Must have obtained (or obtain prior to onboarding) the following certificates: WHMIS, First Aid, H2S, Ember Orientation.
Job Description
I. Professional Responsibilities
Oversee full-process operation and maintenance of generator sets, including routine inspections, operational status monitoring, scheduled servicing, and major fault diagnosis, ensuring safe and stable operation of the units.
Rapidly and accurately identify equipment fault points; independently carry out repairs for general faults; for complex issues that cannot be resolved in-house, promptly communicate internally and coordinate with third-party service providers for follow-up maintenance, ensuring closed-loop management.
Plan and manage the use of spare parts and consumables (e.g., filters, lubricating oils, etc.) for generator sets, ensuring adequate and reasonable on-site supplies.
Submit daily inspection logs, work reports, and other data on schedule, ensuring standardized recording of operating parameters, clear problem descriptions, and consistent, traceable data.
Provide training, assistance, and guidance to on-site operations and maintenance team members; regularly organize technical experience-sharing sessions to improve the team’s overall competency in generator set operations.
Proactively liaise with clients or project parties, accurately track changes in their technical requirements for power generation support, adjust maintenance priorities accordingly, and collect on-site technical feedback for transmission to the company’s technical department.
