Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Kitchen Helper will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to uphold food safety standards and assist in various kitchen tasks.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring timely service
- Help with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing supplies for cooking
- Support serving staff by providing prepared food items and ensuring proper presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Follow all food safety guidelines and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation preferred
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous but not required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food handling and kitchen operations
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
