The primary function of the Loader/ Zoom Boom operator will be to assist in moving and lifting pipe spools, trailers, and other miscellaneous material around the yard. In addition, the Loader / Zoom Boom operator will be required to perform various labour duties on the ground as needed.
Assist in aligning pipes and performing related activities during oil and gas pipeline construction
Operate a 12,000lb zoom boom moving and lifting pipe spools, loading trailers, and transporting other miscellaneous material throughout the yard
Operate light equipment such as bobcats and skidsteers
Assist other tradesmen with the completion of their duties when required
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
Other various responsibilities may be required
2-3 years of loader operator experience
Must be willing to travel to various projects sites within alberta as required
Valid Zoom Boom certificate (Asset)
High School Diploma or GED
Experienced operator in heavy oil and gas industrial projects
H2S Alive and Standard First Aid
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
Valid CSTS (Construction Safety Training Systems) certification
