Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and shipped. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes for moving heavy items.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage order picking processes.
- Conduct order picking with precision to ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs) and moving of products throughout the warehouse as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or a related field is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is highly desirable.
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes is essential for this role.
- Knowledge of order picking techniques and warehouse management systems will be an advantage.
