Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Technical Specialist with expertise in electrical, assembly, and illumination processes. In this role, you will lead technical initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations, ensure quality standards are met, and support continuous improvement efforts across our production lines. Your electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude will be essential in maintaining efficient, safe, and innovative manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical subject matter expert for electrical and illuminated sign products
- Train, coach, and mentor assembly and electrical teams to improve quality and efficiency
- Lead first-off builds, prototypes, customer samples, and complex custom projects
- Support new product and technology introductions from a manufacturing perspective
- Represent Manufacturing in CSA and UL compliance, audits, and certifications
- Develop, update, and enforce SOPs and work instructions for electrical and assembly processes
- Inspect products throughout production to ensure electrical integrity, illumination consistency, and fit/finish
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations
- Ensure compliance with OHSA, MOL, environmental, and internal safety standards
Qualifications
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in illuminated signage or custom fabrication
- Strong knowledge of electrical assembly, low-voltage systems, LED illumination, and power supplies
- Experience in high-volume, engineered-to-order manufacturing environments
- Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement and standard work
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to train and mentor teams
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
