Canadian Co-Packing is a growing food manufacturing company specializing in dry food production and co-packing services. We manufacture and package products including granola, cookies, crackers, baking mixes, powders, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and other shelf-stable food products. We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to help lead our production team and support the continued growth of our business.
Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and leading the production team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will spend time on the production floor while coordinating daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules.
- Supervise and support production employees.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are achieved.
- Train, coach, and evaluate production staff.
- Coordinate production changeovers and line setup.
- Monitor labour efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with purchasing, inventory, and shipping departments.
- Coordinate receiving and shipping activities as needed.
- Assist with production planning and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Support SQF and customer audit requirements.
- Complete production reports and operational documentation using digital systems.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot production issues and work with maintenance when required.
- Promote a safe, positive, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or food production.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Experience with HACCP, GMP, and food safety programs.
- Experience managing production schedules and multiple product lines.
- Comfortable using computers and production management software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Experience with packaging machinery (VFFS, weighers, labeling systems, metal detectors, etc.) is considered an asset.

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
