Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join our logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with potential for growth within the company.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling orders
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipt in warehouse management systems
- Maintain accurate inventory records using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Ensure proper packaging of products to prevent damage during transit
- Assist with order fulfillment for e-commerce platforms and distribution channels
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), Net Suite an asset
- Experience operating forklifts and reach trucks; forklift certification is required
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Good physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and inventory management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system updates
