JOB DETAILS:
We are currently accepting resumes for Refrigeration and Airconditioning Mechanic journeyperson for work in the Red Deer and surrounding area.
Wage
Journeyperson - $57.73 and an additional increase for having Class A Gas Journeyman certification
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Ideal Candidate will have experience in the service RACM industry and have proven communication skills with, supervisors, employees, and customers.
- Conduct contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments and respond to service requests.
- Read & interpret blueprints, evaluate plans diagrams, specifications, schematics, and manufactures manuals.
- Utilize advanced software and technology, along with variety of hand tools and rigging equipment to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining security and accountability of company issued assets.
- A drug and alcohol test may be required pending client requests for pre-access on some projects.
- Execute work safely and promote safe work behaviours with peers.
- Be available on call.
- Travelling to/from various job site locations.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Journeyman – 5+ years of service experience.
- Experience with:
- Air Handling units.
- Refrigeration Systems.
- Boilers and hydronic systems.
- Chillers.
- Ice Machines.
- Ability to diagnose and install electrical and controls specific to refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
- Familiarity with applicable RACM codes.
- Ability to read & understand blueprints
- Excellent organization and time management
- Ability to complete documentation with detail & accuracy
- Knowledge of hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy loads (50lbs)
- Valid driver’s license
- To provide a drivers abstract prior to confirmation of hiring
- Be able to pass a security clearance

Pay: $57.73-$63.50 per hour
