Dominion Forming Inc. is a concrete forming contractor specializing in high-rise residential construction throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We work on complex reinforced concrete structures and are focused on maintaining demanding construction schedules while delivering quality workmanship, safe operations, and reliable performance for our clients.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team and manage high-rise concrete forming projects from pre-construction through completion.
Role Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of assigned high-rise concrete forming projects. This position requires someone who is comfortable working closely with site superintendents, foremen, general contractors, engineers, suppliers, and company management to keep projects on schedule and address issues before they impact production.
This is a full-time position based in Vaughan, Ontario, with regular attendance at project sites throughout the GTA.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-rise concrete forming projects from start-up through completion.
- Review architectural, structural, and construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate closely with project superintendents and site teams regarding sequencing, manpower, materials, equipment, and upcoming work.
- Monitor project schedules and concrete/formwork cycles to ensure production targets are maintained.
- Attend project meetings with general contractors, consultants, and other trades.
- Identify drawing conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues.
- Prepare and manage RFIs and follow up until required information is received.
- Identify extra work and scope changes and prepare change orders with supporting documentation.
- Track project costs, quantities, labour, materials, and changes against the project budget.
- Coordinate material deliveries, forming equipment, cranes, shoring/reshoring requirements, and site logistics.
- Coordinate upcoming concrete pours and ensure forming activities are properly sequenced with reinforcing steel, mechanical/electrical embeds, surveying, and other related trades.
- Review site progress and identify schedule or cost issues requiring corrective action.
- Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, drawings, RFIs, change orders, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with inspections, deficiency resolution, and quality-control requirements.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding progress, scheduling, changes, and outstanding issues.
- Support company safety requirements and ensure project activities are performed in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous Project Management or Project Coordinator experience in concrete forming, high-rise concrete construction, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of structural and architectural construction drawings.
- Experience with high-rise residential construction is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete forming methods, sequencing, shoring/reshoring, concrete pours, and typical high-rise construction cycles is an asset.
- Experience preparing and managing RFIs and change orders.
- Strong scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with field personnel, general contractors, engineers, suppliers, and management.
- Good understanding of construction costs, labour productivity, materials, and project documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction project-management and drawing-review software is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to project sites throughout the GTA.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, organized, accountable, and proactive. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending time both in the office and on active construction sites and should be able to recognize potential schedule, drawing, scope, and cost issues before they become problems.
- Experience specifically in high-rise concrete forming will be considered a significant advantage.
Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
