The Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education invites applications from new applicants for TEMPORARY CUSTODIANS for the Chignecto-Central Regional Centre for Education encompassing Colchester, East Hants, Pictou, and Cumberland Counties (Cobequid, Celtic, Nova and Chignecto Families of Schools). Placement in temporary positions could lead to permanent employment.
Applicants must:
Minimum of Grade 12 high school diploma or academic equivalent through educational programs such as Graduated Equivalent Diploma (GED)
Possess a valid N.S. Driver’s License;
Experience/knowledge in modern cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
would be a definite asset;
Have or be willing to take WHMIS, first aid training, etc.
Be able to provide their own transportation to and from work sites (due to Covid-19 distancing restrictions)
Prospective candidates will be required to successfully complete the Custodial Training Program conducted by Property Services Staff before commencing employment in any custodial position. Successful applicants will be contacted to provide a Child Abuse Registry Form and a Criminal Records Check.
