Store Manager
Reports to: CEO
Position Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the store, ensuring sales growth, profitability, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience. The role provides leadership to all store associates while maintaining high standards for quality, merchandising, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of daily store operations.
- Deliver an exceptional customer shopping experience and resolve customer concerns.
- Lead, coach, train and develop store associates.
- Recruit, hire and onboard new employees.
- Execute merchandising plans and promotional initiatives.
- Maintain product quality standards throughout the store.
- Manage labour costs and other operating expenses, including utilities, supplies and waste.
- Monitor inventory and merchandising to maximize sales.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and scheduling.
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workplace.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance of store equipment.
- Respond to after-hours alarm calls and emergencies when required.
- Support the company's purpose, values and customer service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a grocery retail environment.
- Experience managing Deli and/or Fresh Meat departments is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Retail merchandising
- Inventory management
- Promotional execution
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays and emergency response.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and climbing ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers.

Pay: $66,818.09-$80,241.43 per year
