STAR AUTO SERVICE LTD is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Edmonton. A Journeyman licence is not required, but the successful candidate must have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
- Perform general vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Repair brake, steering, suspension, cooling, and other automotive systems
- Remove and replace engines and transmissions
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems
- Complete assigned repairs accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate with the service manager regarding repair progress and additional issues
Requirements
- Previous professional experience as an automotive mechanic
- Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
- Ability to replace engines and transmissions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Working knowledge of English
- Valid driver’s licence
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Canadian automotive repair experience is preferred
- Personal tools are preferred but not required
- Journeyman certification is not required
