Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
