Industrial Maintenance Technician
Summary: We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician with a Journeyman/Journeywoman’s license or a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable electrical experience to join our Maintenance Team. The successful candidate must have expertise and be confident with:
- Electrically troubleshoot, repair and maintain all types of industrial machinery, equipment and systems. This involves both electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
- Perform equipment failure analysis (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance).
- Understanding and troubleshooting machine controls
- Understanding electrical and mechanical principles
- PLC programming and background with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
- Perform troubleshooting of equipment and replacement of electrical components on equipment with minimal assistance.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical principle/theory, and familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Must be self-directed, able to work independently and capable of making adequate decision with little or no assistance.
- Receives work instructions for repairs & maintenance of equipment & machinery from supervisors and team leaders working from detailed plans, sketches and drawings.
- Must makes decisions and judgments concerning the feasibility of repairing equipment and refer to prints, diagrams, engineering specifications and manufacturers’ manuals.
- Must revise deficiency of equipment by replacing components with more adequate design components and eliminating repetitive issues with design changes.
- Must be able to read electrical schematics and interpret/design ladder logic diagrams and programs.
- Must be able to complete assigned responsibilities for Fire Response.
- Complies with all applicable policies and procedures as required by Quality, Environmental Systems and Emergency Response including TS16949 and ISO 14001.
Requirements:
- Available to work Saturday-Thursday
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principle/theory
- Ability and knowledge of wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, codes and the operation of electronic test equipment.
- Advanced operating knowledge, design capability and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical/electronic circuitry and Programmable Logic Controllers.
