Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class A Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and mechanical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues. This role requires hands-on expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. The Class A Mechanic will be responsible for performing repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on various vehicle makes and models using advanced tools and equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and assembly machinery safely and effectively
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and uphold quality standards
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems and components
- Proficiency in welding, schematics reading, and assembly processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients when necessary
- Ability to diagnose issues accurately using technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
