The Position:
Digital Shovel is in an exciting phase of growth, and we’re looking to welcome a skilled and motivated Laser Operator to our hands-on, collaborative team. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a desire to lead by example in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Signing off and inspecting as needed on QC items
- Operating and setting up Amada CNC Laser and Punch Press (FOL, Vipros & EMLK)
- Operating and setting up various CNC Brake Presses and CNC Folding Machine
- Operating and setting up Salvagnini P4 Panel Bending machine , RAS Multi Bend Machine
- Ensuring projects are implemented/completed according to production schedule
- Plan sequence of operation to achieve optimal precision and tolerances
- Select proper programs/tooling for all Setups; tool maintenance
- Preparing raw materials for production
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Maintaining and reporting on production rates
- Other tasks as required
Experience:
- Experienced with Amada punch press laser and RAS ( 5 - 10 yrs )
- Brake Press Experience ( 5 - 10 yrs )
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings ( 5 - 10 yrs )
- Metal fabrication experience ( 5 - 10 yrs )
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday 6:30am - 5pm
- No Fridays
- No Weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

- Brake Press setup and operation: 5 years (required)
- CNC Punch Press setup and operation: 5 years (required)
- CNC Folding Machine: 3 years (preferred)
- operating RAS folding Machines : 3 years (preferred)
- Understanding of G-Code: 4 years (preferred)
- sheet metal shop: 5 years (required)
- programming: 5 years (required)
