EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY : COMMUNICATIONS ANALYST - IQALUIT - #CA23
The Coalition of Nunavut District Education Authorities (CNDEA) is the unified voice for Nunavut’s District Education Authorities.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Analyst is responsible for data collection, analysis, management, and reporting.
Priority given to bilingual Nunavut Inuit, who are enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough research and gather data on Nunavut’s education system, including current policies, educational trends, and program effectiveness.
- Analyse and store data using analytical tools to draw meaningful insights and support decision-making process.
- Assist in a variety of tasks across the organization, including development of an internal database management system, report writing, designing and writing newsletters and website content, data entry, and other duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Should have in-depth knowledge of Nunavut's educational program, including its policies and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools is essential, with the ability to interpret and present complex data effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to research and write large-scale detailed reports
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education or a related filed; a Master’s degree is an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a research role
Benefits and pay:
- Pay starting at $116,212 (to be negotiated based on experience) + $16,008 Northern Allowance + Housing Allowance
- NEBS Benefits plan - Health and Pension (8% employer matching)
- Housing is not available for this position - A cash housing allowance is provided
- Position is based in Iqaluit
