This position is a 12-month appointment less a day, 20 hours/week, with the possibility of extension.
This position presents an excellent opportunity for participating in policy-relevant, impactful research, developing and deepening diverse skills for health services research, interdisciplinary research training, and developing collaborations with scientific, clinical and policy colleagues.
The Research Assistant will have an opportunity to work with provincial administrative claims data in order to understand trends and gaps in chronic disease management so it can be used to inform the development of health policy and more efficient chronic disease management programs. Specifically, the RA will assist in data analysis, preparation and research for publications, and other dissemination activities.
Execute data cleaning and data management
Conduct statistical data analysis
Conduct literature review
Participate in writing and preparation of reports and publications
Master’s degree in Health Sciences such as Pharmacy, Medicine, Nutrition, Nursing, Public Health, or relevant social science
Research experience in health services/health outcomes area
Research experience using quantitative methods
Experience writing manuscripts
Proficiency with data analysis software (SAS or similar software)
Excellent writing and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
