Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile journeyman carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various trades, including carpentry and finishing work. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects such as cabinetry, siding, and more. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working with a variety of tools and schematics to deliver high-quality results across multiple construction disciplines.
Duties
- Read and interpret construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Install cabinets, siding materials, and perform construction painting tasks.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct caulking, heavy lifting, and assembly tasks as required for various projects.
- Execute projects involving woodwork, siding replacement, or structural repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and quality standards.
Experience
- Must possess a valid Journeyman or Red Seal carpenter certificate.
- Proven experience in construction trades such as carpentry.
- Familiarity with construction drawings is essential.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Prior work in restoration projects or cabinetry installation is a plus.
- Maintenance Person experience or general construction background highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on diverse job sites.
- Strong understanding of construction processes is beneficial. This position requires a motivated individual with a broad skill set in the construction industry who can adapt to various roles within our team while maintaining high standards of safety and craftsmanship.
