Accounting Operations Specialist (Part-Time)

The organization manages a diverse portfolio of investments and operations, including commercial real estate and clean technology ventures. Reporting to: Director of Finance
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records.
Process wire transfers and ACH transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare GST and PST filings.
Assist with operating cost reconciliations.
Support the preparation of financial reports, annual financial statements, and tax returns.
Conduct financial analysis and assist with ad hoc reporting.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of efficiencies.
Provide assistance with various accounting, finance, and administrative tasks as required by management and the broader finance team.
Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
Strong analytical skills, particularly with Excel and Google Sheets.
Experience working with Yardi Breeze.
High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
