Durham Recruiting is looking for a customer focused Senior Customer Service Rep/Account Manager that is RIBO Licensed who is looking to cut their commute to Toronto and join a local Insurance Brokerage in Pickering. Absolutely no selling or upselling is required for this role. This is a PURE servicing role. Exceptional service is given daily to your assigned accounts throughout the year.

The Opportunity:
In a nutshell you will be servicing assigned clients on a day to day basis for all Home and Auto policies. You will be responsible for renewals, inquirers, starting claims, updates to files, writing renewal letters and working with the sales team if you are able to speak to a client and realize that their home and auto is not under the one ‘roof’. No upselling, no selling what so every is required in this role, it is all passed over to the Business Developers.

It is also interesting to note that this partner does not require ‘muli-tasking’. In an industry that is so focused on paperwork this partner does not encourage or endorse doing more than one task at a time. Calls are held or messages are taken when you are doing paperwork etc. Once you have finished a task you are then to move onto the next priority. No emails are to be answered while you are doing another task. They are looking for accuracy and less room for human error with this expectation.

$50,000 to $55,000 depending on experience

What We Need From You:
Exceptional Customer Service Skills
A natural smile when you answer the phone – you are the voice of the company
A lot has changed in insurance and we are looking for candidates that are still very passionate about what they do
5+ Years as a Personal Lines CSR – RIBO License required
Must be willing to write own renewal policies and own paperwork – there is no one regularly doing this for you like in the large Toronto Firms
Must be willing to ‘own’ your mistakes – our partner understands that stuff happens but there is an expectation that when you realize a mistake has been made that you go to the management team right away in order to get ahead of the game and fix it
Some experience with commercial lines is preferred in regard to servicing account
Good computer skills, picks up internal software with ease
