This position will be a day position from 11a-7p or 7a-3p or 3p-11p on rotation on weekends.
Minimum two scheduled weekends per month (Saturday and Sunday). At times shifts may range outside scheduled hours of scope.
Major Responsibilities:
- Answering emails and phone calls from both clients and staff
- Reviewing and processing SDFs
- Using problem solving skills to ensure the right guard is for the right client without going into overtime
- Filing infractions for lates, no-shows, etc.
- Complete forms and reports to showcase the shift’s events
- Log sick calls and drops
- Updating the schedule to reflect any changes made by the client
- Misc. Admin duties as needed
Key Qualifications:
Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is crucial. Dispatchers need to relay information accurately to security personnel, emergency responders, and callers.
Calm Under Pressure: Dispatchers often handle urgent situations. Remaining calm and composed during emergencies is vital.
Multitasking: They must manage multiple tasks simultaneously, such as, answering calls, deploying personnel using humanity and dispatching help.
Geographical Client Knowledge: Familiarity with the area they cover helps dispatchers provide
accurate directions and information.Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and resourcefulness are essential for handling unexpected situations.
Attention to Detail: Dispatchers must accurately record information and follow protocols.
Technology Proficiency: They use communication systems, GPS, and security software.
WPM: Can maintain 25 words per minute on a keyboard
Remember, empathy and a service-oriented mindset are equally important
You must also have:
- Ability to appropriately assess situations based on, available information and past experience.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff,
community agencies and the public.
- Ability to prepare and write reports/records and maintain same.
- Ability to effectively perform job duties with minimum supervision.
- Ability to de-escalate interpersonal conflicts in an effective fashion through crisis intervention techniques.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Attention to detail
