Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Laborer to join our team and contribute to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, assisting with landscape projects, and supporting the overall upkeep of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and outdoor work, along with practical skills in landscape maintenance and construction. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on experience in horticulture, irrigation systems, and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, mowing, and general garden care to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators for landscaping projects
- Support irrigation installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Prepare soil, spread mulch, and perform soil conditioning tasks
- Maintain and repair landscape features including pathways, retaining walls, and garden beds
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as setting up structures or installing features under supervision
- Follow safety protocols during all landscaping activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, and horticulture principles
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting small machinery or equipment issues
- Ability to use hand tools (shovels, pruners) and power tools safely and effectively
- Construction experience is beneficial for supporting larger landscape projects
- Strong work ethic with physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail for precise planting, trimming, and maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
Pay: $20.00-$29.32 per hour
