Duties and Responsibilities may include multiple aspects of the following:
· As instructed by the Director of Facilities, perform building maintenance repair duties at various Drayton Entertainment facilities. This includes troubleshooting or making general repairs to building systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofs, etc. along with repairs to carpentry, painting, masonry, and drywall.
· Monitor energy management systems and building automation system schedules.
· Perform exterior grounds and building maintenance including sweeping, snow removal, cleaning, windows, exterior lighting, parking areas, etc.
· Maintain facility quality and safety by adhering to predetermined building operating standards.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and building or system repair/services with contractors or service providers, as directed by the Director of Facilities and/or executive management.
· Work with other staff to maintain an orderly loading dock and storage area(s), assisting with pick-up and deliveries of supplies and materials.
· Order and maintain facility supplies (janitorial, lighting, etc.).
· Complete specialized cleaning not covered through custodial service.
· Communicate and work with staff to coordinate and address maintenance schedules and issues, reporting on building incidents.
· Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Experience related to the duties listed above, normally acquired through 2-3 years experience in facility/building maintenance.
· Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, masonry, and drywall.
· Knowledge of cleaning procedures, and the safe and appropriate handling of cleaning products.
· Ability to perform physical work (e.g. lifting, climbing, carrying, walking).
· Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment (carpentry tools, commercial cleaners, etc.)
· Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Ontario Building Code, etc.
· A reliable self-starter, able to coordinate maintenance functions and make decisions with minimal supervision, while also working cooperatively with the Director of Facilities and executive management.
· Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
· Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, coupled with adaptability to changing work priorities.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
· Must possess a valid Class G driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
· Experience with scissor lifts would be an asset
Pay: $25.00 per hour
