THE ROLE
BioApplied has an assorted client base. Our network is highly diversified and a critical company asset. We are engaged with a variety of industries, government sectors, not-for-profit organizations, and academia. We support both small start-up companies, as well as large multi-national organizations. Our projects are likewise varied and include market research, business planning, communications, project management, customer engagement, new product development, product and service deployment, grant and proposal preparation.
We are seeking an individual to join us full-time to support our efforts in delivering the mission. The role will initially focus on communications activities along with providing team support on various projects or new business development activities. You may also be deployed, in part to customer specific initiatives.
We are a small team with a big mandate. On behalf of our clients we undertake a wide range of activities. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly and thrive on variety. You will eventually see what needs to be done to support BioApplied’s projects and will take the initiative.
This role will test your ability to be flexible, adaptable, organized, responsive and resilient. At the same time you will be tenacious and not compromise on the quality of your deliverables. This we expect will challenge you, just as we are challenged each day.
To meet these challenges we operate as a team. You will support the team as well as be a fully integrated member of the team.
You will need to be comfortable and productive working in an independent environment. Although we have offices, you will be able to work remotely and virtually much of the time.
In addition to learning on the fly, the qualifications listed below will help you support project deliverables at the start. The specific tasks may consist of conducting research, designing marketing materials, communication advisory, planning and execution, preparing proposals, reports, and funding applications, as well as administrative tasks. Ultimately, your work will help our clients, and when they succeed, the bioeconomy succeeds and everyone benefits!
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
v Minimum undergraduate degree (business, engineering, science disciplines will be an asset).
v Relevant experience in business management, communications, and/or marketing.
v Strong written and verbal communication skills.
v Skilled and adept with variety of digital communication platforms.
v Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power-point).
v Bi-lingual preferred.
TERMS AND COMPENSATION
BioApplied’s primary offices are in Halifax, Montreal, and Sydney, although this position may work remotely. Employment would ideally start in February or March 2022. Compensation includes a competitive salary and benefits.
